The Stelton Cylinda Line series was born in 1964 during a dinner at Arne Jacobsen's. Arne Jacobsen's stepson Peter holmblad, who at the time owned Stelton, had a great desire for Arne Jacobsen to create a collection for Stelton.
There was just one problem, Arne Jacobsen was a very busy man. But Peter did know one thing about Arne Jacobsen, that it was; he hated ugly design, so he knew that if Arne Jacobsen could see preliminary sketches for the Stelton Cylinda Line series, he wouldn't be able to resist interfering. This is how the Stelton Cylinda Line series was created.
