UN GLOBAL COMPACT
Metz have been members of UN Global Compact since 2013 and the backbone of our CSR strategy is shaped by their ten principles for Human Rights and Labour Standards, Environment and Anti-corruption.

Every year we document and communicate through our “communication on progress” report how we work with the ten principles, how we address the SDG´s and how we work with sustainability through products (e.g. production and consumption).

In 2022, METZ has launched Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTI) reduction targets. This project ensures a continuous focus on reducing our internal CO2 emissions, so at METZ we do our part to reach the joint 1.5 degree target in 2030, defined in the Paris Agreement

FSC® - Responsible use of wood and forest resources

METZ A/S has an FSC trademark license FSC®-N001788. This means that we are approved by FSC Denmark to use FSC's trademarks in communication and marketing of FSC-labeled products. It is important to us to look after our forests and keep them full of life so that present and future generations can benefit from them. The FSC label on our products means that they are made from materials from FSC-certified forests and other responsible sources.

There are three FSC labels: FSC 100%, FSC MIX and FSC RECYCLED.

The ambition is to make an impact in SDG 12, “reduce waste through prevention, reduction, recycling and reuse”.

REDUCE – high quality materials so the products last longer.
REUSE – reusable products. So, they can be used again and again and again.
RECYCLE – product made from recycled materials or suitable for recycling.
