The modern Icelandic sheep is a direct descendant of the sheep brought to Iceland by the early Vikings in the ninth and tenth centuries. The wool consists of an inner layer (undercoat) and an outer layer, which is typical of these primitive breeds. It is this wool that Iceland is known for. It is illegal to import any sheep into Iceland.

Icelandic lambskin has a particularly good quality. Road conditions in Iceland mean that the hairs sit very tightly and the hair density is a special characteristic of good quality. At the same time, the hairs are long and rough.

The wool comes in fantastic natural colors, which give them a very special Nordic character. The colors are black, brown, white and gray in all sorts of blends and compositions. These blends create completely unique skins.

The skins are 100% natural and are therefore untreated and hypoallergenic.
