The raw material in the pillow is silk from the cocoon of the silkworm, which feeds on insecticide-free mulberry leaves. The cocoons are then cleaned in clean water, steamed and immersed in boiling water to soften them. The silk is stretched without the use of machines into fine skeins, which are laid layer upon layer in its full size. This is the process that is hundreds of years old. No bleach is used, no machines and
no chemical additives during the production of the mulberry silk.
