The bear has celebrated its 70th anniversary. It is celebrated with the Reworked Bear, which has a 70th anniversary stamp on the paw and comes in a special wooden anniversary box in limited numbers.
The small size is 14.5 cm high and is a tribute to Kay Bojesen's original design.

With a sustainable aspect, The Reworked Bear celebrates design history while acknowledging the environmental responsibility of craftsmanship and design. Only leftover wood is used in the production of the Bear, and each individual bear will look different depending on the wood available on the day they are made. They are handcrafted with care and attention using the same methods as in 1952, when the friendly bear welcomed the world with open arms.
